CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College women's basketball is excited to announce the signing of Houston transfer, Kiera Edmonds, for the 2025-26 season.Â
Edmonds is the third transfer to join the Eagles with Kayla Rolph and Erin Houpt.Â
The 6'2 forward from Brooklyn arrives in the Heights after spending a year with Houston.Â
"We're excited to welcome KD to The Heights," said head coach Joanna Bernabei-McNamee. "She brings versatility and a physical presence that will elevate our frontcourt. KD is tough on the boards and plays with a gritty energy that will make her an impact on both ends of the floor."
She played one season at Wagner, where she was named to the Northeastern Conference All-Rookie Team. Edmonds led the Seahawks with 9.9 points per game and 7.8 rebounds per game in conference play.
The forward scored in double figures 10 times, highlighted by a career-high 22 against Central Connecticut State. She posted four double-doubles against and grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds against Le Moyne (Feb. 29).Â
Her best stretch of the season came over the final 11 games, averaging 11.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, and shooting 50.0 percent from the floor. Edmonds scored at least 10 points in eight of the games with six double-figure rebounding performances and four double-doubles.Â
Edmonds attended Brooklyn Law & Tech, where she was on the varsity team for four years and averaged 17.4 points per game as a senior. The Brooklyn, N.Y., native was a captain of the varsity team while being named All-State twice. Edmonds also was a two-time city champion.
