May 27, 2025 | Lacrosse
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College junior goalkeeper Shea Dolce was named the IWLCA Goalkeeper of the Year on Wednesday.
Dolce is the eighth Eagle in program history to win an IWLCA Player of the Year honor, and it's the second straight season (Sydney Scales) that a player has been nationally recognized.
The Darien, Conn. native led the nation with 203 saves, a .550 save percentage, and finished second in the nation with a 7.85 goals against average.
Dolce led the ACC with 12 games of 10 or more stops and led the league in minutes en route to a second straight ACC Goalkeeper of the Year award.
She is one of two players (Megan McElvogue) in program history to reach 200 saves in a season, and her 496 career saves are third all-time. In three years, Dolce has won two ACC titles, a national championship, ACC Goalkeeper of the Year (2x), ACC Tournament MVP and is an All-American with a 54-9 record in the cage.
Dolce is in contention for the Tewaaraton Award on Thursday, where the ceremony will be held in Washington D.C.
