12 Athletes Honored with Team Awards
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's rowing team head coach Grace Hollowell announced the release of their end of the season award winners Monday night, honoring 12 athletes.
Novice of the Year
Awarded to the most outstanding novice athlete:
Eva Kelliher '28
Walk On of the Year
Awarded to the most outstanding walk on athlete:
Quinn Baker '28
Freshman of the Year
Awarded to the most outstanding freshman athlete:
Leighton Smith '28
The Hammer Award
Awarded to the athlete that shows commitment, grit, dedication, and raw speed on the Ergometer:
Molly Devine '27
Most Improved
Awarded to the athlete that has made the biggest strides technically, physically, and culturally in the past year:
Lauren Craven '27
The Ignatian Award
Awarded to the athlete that demonstrates outstanding spirit and commitment to serving the team on and off the water:
Jennie Sherwood '26
The Ever to Excel Award
Awarded to the athlete that has been pivotal to the success of the team and the program, team MVP:
Lauren Bauer '26
The "For Boston" Award
Awarded to the athlete that has shown unwavering dedication to the team; the athlete that best embodies the core values of hard work, kindness, grit, respect, and trust:
