Emma LoPinto Named IWLCA Offensive Player of the Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College lacrosse senior attacker Emma LoPinto was named the IWLCA National Offensive Player of the Week.

LoPinto garners a weekly award for the first time this season, while she is the fifth Eagle to win a player of the week honor.

The Manhasset, N.Y. native stepped up for the Eagles in their 10-7 win over Stony Brook in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, scoring three goals with one assist for four points. She tallied a pair of ground balls and a caused turnover.

LoPinto set the tone for the Eagles, scoring all three of her goals in the 6-0 start in the opening half, including her caused turnover that led to a wide-open score.

For the season, LoPinto has a career-high 102 points with 71 goals and 31 assists. She is one of two players in the nation with at least 70 goals and 30 assists. LoPinto is second among active leaders with 375 points and 254 goals.
