Eagles Conclude Stroke Play at ACC Championship

Markus Lam and Ben Hong lead BC, tying for 31st place overall
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Boston College finished in 14th place during stroke play at the 2025 ACC Championship.
BC finished with a total team score of 879 (302-285-300). The Eagles' best score came during Saturday's second round, when BC shot a 3-over 285 - the best 18-hole team score of the championship.
Boston College was led by Ben Hong and Markus Lam, who each tied for 31st place (218). Hong improved in each of the three rounds of the championship. He opened play on Thursday with a 74, followed by a 1-over second round 73 on Saturday. Hong closed out with a 1-under par 71 during Saturday afternoon's final round of play. For the tournament, Hong tied for the team lead, with 14 birdies, and was one of the top golfers in the field for par 5 holes (4.5 avg, -6).
Lam's best round of the championship came during the second round - a 2-under par 70. The sophomore carded a 2-over score of 74 in the first and third rounds. For the three rounds of stroke play, Lam tied for the team lead with 14 birdies.
Tommy Mangan tied for 58th place (225). His best round of the tournament came during Saturday's second round, with a 2-under 70. He opened play with a 78 and closed with a 77. Mangan led BC in pars, carding 33 total for the 54-holes.
Christian Emmerich tied for 63rd (228). His best round of the tournament came during the second round, where he shot an even-par 72. Emmerich registered scores of 78 in the first and third rounds. Jack Pogorelc finished in 68th place (76-76-83=235), rounding out the BC golfers.
After the opening 18 holes of play on Thursday, tournament play was halted due to weather on Friday. The ACC Championship resumed on Saturday morning with 36 holes of continuous play.
