Series will culminate with 2025 ALS Awareness Game at Fenway Park
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Boston College Baseball (21-20, 9-12 ACC) will host the Miami Hurricanes (24-18, 9-9 ACC) in a three-game conference series starting Friday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Harrington Athletics Village. The series will culminate with Boston College's 13th annual ALS Awareness Game, taking place at 12:00 this Sunday afternoon at Fenway Park.
The Miami File
The Eagles and Hurricanes have met 38 times, including 36 meetings since BC joined the ACC in 2006. Miami holds a 27-11 all-time advantage but lead BC by only two games (8-6) when playing in Boston. Miami won the series the last time they met, taking two of three at Miami in March 2022. BC won the series the last time they hosted, taking two of three in May 2021. Miami has won six of their last seven, including a home series sweep vs. Georgia Tech, and the 'Canes are a No. 3 seed in D1 Baseball's latest NCAA tournament projection.
The 2025 ALS Awareness Game
Returning to Fenway for the sixth time, this game has been played annually in honor of former BC Baseball captain Pete Frates since his ALS diagnosis in 2012. BC played its first ALS Awareness Game in 2012 shortly after Pete Frates was diagnosed with ALS at the age of 27. The 2017 and 2018 games were played at Fenway Park. BC defeated NC State, 8-3, in 2017 and fell to Florida State, 13-7, in front of an ALS game-record crowd of 5,433 in 2018. Each of the last three ALS games have been played at Fenway Park.
The Eagles have won each of the last two, defeating Notre Dame in 2023 and Virginia in 2024.
General admission tickets are $15 at redsox.com/ALSgame and all proceeds benefit the Peter Frates Family Foundation.Â
