Beanpot Semifinal Goes to Northeastern on Tuesday

Eagles resume action on Wednesday afternoon at home vs. Rhode Island
BROOKLINE, Mass. — Boston College Baseball (13-13, 5-7 ACC) fell to Northeastern (19-8, 5-1 CAA) in the 2025 Beanpot semifinal game on Tuesday afternoon.
The Huskies opened the scoring with a two-spot in the first, taking a 2-0 lead into the second inning. A.J. Colarusso settled down following the opening frame, hanging zeroes in the second and third before giving way to Eric Schroeder on the mound.
Northeastern brought another across in the fourth on an RBI double tucked just inside the left-field line, making it a 3-0 game after four. Schroeder gave way to Gavin Soares after two innings of one-run work, striking out two with one walk issued. Soares came in and worked a scoreless sixth with one strikeout, keeping it 3-0 after six.
The sides traded scoreless frames over the final three innings as the Huskies closed out the Beanpot semifinal with a 3-0 win.
Boston College will face Massachusetts in the third place game of the 2025 Beanpot at Fenway Park on April 29.
The Eagles will resume action on Wednesday afternoon at home vs. Rhode Island.
