Third-seeded Eagles visits second-seeded Terriers Wednesday evening.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass - The No. 15 Boston College women's hockey team will vsis No. 13 Boston University in the Hockey East Tournament semifinal round for the fourth time in program history.
The single elimination game between the third-seeded Eagles and the second-seeded Terriers is set for 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5 at Walter Brown Arena. The contest will stream live on NESN.
The championship game will be held on Saturday, March 8 from the campus of the University of Connecticut to determine the winner of the Bertagna Trophy.

QUARTERFINAL SUCCESS

- Boston College and Boston University will meet in the Hockey East Tournament semifinal round on Wednesday night at Walter Brown Arena... this is the first time since the 2019 semifinal game that these two teams are meeting in the tournament.
- The Terriers won all two out of the three regular season meetings. The Eagles took the first meeting this season in overtime, while BU took the final two meetings.
- The Eagles advanced to the program's 16th semifinal by way of a 4-3 win over Maine while the Terriers earned a berth after topping Vermont, 4-3 in overtime.

- In the Hockey East Playoffs, the Terriers hold a record of 26-16 and a semifinal record of 6-5. The Last time the Terries made it to the semifinals was in 2019 against BC.
- Tamara Giaquinto was named the Hockey East Defender of the Year.

- Boston University and Boston College have faced off three times in the semifinals, with BC holding two wins.
- The last time the two sides met in the semifinals was in 2019, the Eagles walked away with a 5-1 victory.
- This is Boston University's first time to the semifinals since 2019, this marks the third straight semifinals trip for BC.
QUARTERFINAL SUCCESS
- The Eagles claimed a 4-3 victory over Maine in the quarterfinals. This is the fourth win against Maine this season.
- Boston College improves to 16-5 in the quarterfinals and to 5-1 against Maine in the quarterfinals.
- Julia Pellerin led the team with three points, those came from two goals and an assist. Pellerin recorded the game-winning goal against Maine.
- Alanna Delvin recorded her first point during the playoffs. Devlin recorded BC's first goal of the game.
