Abby Loveys Earns School Record as the Eagles Compete at ACC Championships

BC places 17th overall at the 2025 ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Boston College Women's Track & Field team competed at the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships over the weekend of March 1-3 at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville, Ky.Â
The Eagles finished 17th overall with 2 points. Clemson won the Women's team championship with 89 points.
Saturday
BC started off day one of Indoor ACC Championships on the Women's side with the Women's 5000m finals. Ella Fadil was the lone Eagle to compete in the event, finishing 10th overall with a personal-best time of 16:07.44.Â
Anna Sonsini finished the day for the Eagles competing in the Women's 200m prelims, earning third place in heat 3 with a time of 24.47. Sosnini's time is a personal-best, and placed her 17th overall out of all runners.Â
Sunday
Day 2 of the championship meet started off with the Women's Mile prelims. Lily Flynn was the top finisher for the Eagles in this event, finishing fourth in heat 3 and 15th overall with a time of 4:41.89. Hanna Hollins finished 34th overall with her time of 4:54.54.Â
Kylee Bernard competed in the Women's 400m prelims, ultimately crossing the finish line in 22nd place with a time of 55.63
Molly Hudson became the first Women's runner to advance to the finals as she earned a spot with her Women's 800m prelim time of 2:04.6. Hudson finished third overall in heat 1 and punched a spot in the finals by having one of the top-eight times in the event. Yaroslava Yalysovetska also competed in the Women's 800m, finishing 18th overall with a time of 2:11.53
Monday
Molly Hudson started off the final day of ACC Championships by competing in the Women's 800m finals. Hudson finished seventh overall with a time of 2:04.77.
BC had five total athletes take part in the Women's 5000m finals. Abby Loveys was the top finisher for the Eagles, and she earned a school record time of 9:08.12. Roshni Singh (9:14.38) finished 19th, while Abby Lewis (9:19.95) placed 26th, Yasmine Abbes (9:30.57) placed 36th, and Molly FitzPatrick (9:31.36) finished 37th.
The Women's 4x400m relay team of Anna Becker, Anna Sonsini, Kyla Palmer, and Kylee Bernard finished off the weekend strong for the Eagles. The group of four finished 11th overall and earned a time of 3:40.79, which is good for No. 2 all-time in school history.Â
Up next: The Eagles will look to earn spots at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held March 14-15 in Virginia Beach, Va. Participants will be announced for this year's championships in a selection release on Tuesday, March 4.
