March 03, 2025 | Women's Golf
The three-day, 54-hole tournament begins with a shotgun start on Tuesday
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College women's golf team returns to action on Tuesday, March 4 at the Puerto Rico Shooting, hosted by Ball State. Â The tournament will be contested at the Flamboyan Course at the Palmas Athletic Club in Humacao, P.R.
BC begins play in the three-day, 54-hole tournament, beginning with a 7:30 a.m. ET shotgun start. Â The Eagles will tee off on holes 1-4, playing along with Ball State and Florida Gulf Coast.
The Flamboyán Course at the Palmas Athletic Club offers golfers of all levels both a challenging experience and a beautiful setting in which to play. Â The Flamboyán Course has been ranked as the second-best course in Puerto Rico by Golf Digest (November 2003) and the best course on the island by Barron's Magazine (March 1999).Â
Built on a former sugar cane plantation, the course was routed to let the prevailing trade winds provide additional challenges. This is especially true on two of the course's longest holes, the par 5 seventh and the par 4 ninth. Â
