Eagles Defeat Hurricanes 4-2
WEYMOUTH, Mass. – The Eagles hosted Miami in Weymouth Sunday morning, topping the Hurricanes 4-2 to record their first ACC win of the year.
"We have been so close in so many matches this year," said head coach Nigel Bentley. "We've had so many injuries and illnesses. I'm so proud of our team's commitment and effort. Miami is such a great program. They are so well coached… We tweaked our warm up routine and it got us off to a better start in doubles and we carried the energy into the singles matches. Really happy for our players!"
The Eagles recorded two wins in doubles to earn the doubles point headed into singles. Alex Torre and Tola Glowacka finished 6-2 and Olivia Benton and Muskan Mahajan finished 7-5 over the Hurricanes.
