Eagles to Face Villanova in WBIT First Round

INDIANAPOLIS - Boston College women's basketball will take on Villanova on Thursday at 7 p.m. in Philadelphia in the 2025 Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament (WBIT).Â
A win on Thursday would advance the Eagles to the second round to face either St. Joseph's or UAlbany on Sunday, March 23.Â
The Eagles are in the postseason for the first time since the 2021-22 WNIT.Â
All games are streamed on ESPN+ until the championship, which will air on ESPN2 at Hinkle Fieldhouse on April 2.Â
The Eagles are coming off a 16-17 season, highlighted by three wins over the last five games, including an ACC Tournament win over Syracuse.Â
Villanova finished 18-14 over the season, while earning a win in the Big East Tournament before falling to eventual champion, UConn.Â
Thursday's matchup against Villanova will be the first since the 2005 season when both teams were in the Big East.Â
