
Women's Basketball Suffers Loss to No. 17 Georgia Tech

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College women's basketball fell to No. 17 Georgia Tech 71-51 on Sunday afternoon in Conte Forum.Â
The Eagles fall to 13-13 and 4-9 in the league, while Georgia Tech improves to 20-4 and 8-4 in the conference.Â
T'yana Todd led Boston College with 19 points and five rebounds. The junior guard scored 15 of her points in the second half.Â
Dontavia Waggoner netted 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field to round out the leading scorers.Â
Boston College struggled on offense in the first half, leading to Georgia Tech claiming a double-digit lead. The Yellow Jackets went into the half up by 21.Â
Todd tried to get the Eagles back in the contest, scoring all 15 of her second-half points in the third quarter. The guard scored the seven points in the third frame to slice the deficit to 15.Â
However, the Yellow Jackets wouldn't let BC get any closer in the fourth, pulling away for the win.Â
BC returns to action on Thursday against California at 10 p.m. (ET).Â
