
Eagles to Host Black Bears in Hockey East Tournament Quarterfinals

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass - For the fifth time in program history, the #15 Boston College women's hockey team will host the Maine Black Bears in the Hockey East Tournament quarterfinal round.
The single elimination game between the third-seeded Eagles and the sixth-seeded Black Bears is set for 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 1 at Kelley Rink. The contest will stream live on NESN.
Semifinals will take place on Wednesday, March 5 and the championship game will be held on Saturday, March 8 to determine the winner of the Bertagna Trophy.

- The Eagles won all three regular-season meetings, picking up a 3-1 and a 5-1 win in Orono and a 5-0 win on the Heights.
- The Eagles are coming off a two-game set against New Hampshire, earning a 2-0Â win at home, but tied 1-1 on the road ... the Black Bears hosted Holy Cross last weekend winning Friday's game 4-1, and tied 2-2 in the regular season finale.Â

- Advance Boston College to the program's 16th Hockey East Tournament semifinal.
- Move BC to 26-17 all-time in the Hockey East Tournament and 15-5 in the quarterfinal round.
SCOUTING MAINE
- Maine ended the regular season with a record of holds a record of 11-20-3 and a league record of 10-14-3.Â
- The Huskies have scored 59 times this year, averaging 1.74 goals a game, while they have let their opponents score 97 times, averaging 2.85 goals per game.Â
- Lily Fetch leads Maine in points with 15 she also leads the team in goals with eight. Â
- Kiia Lahtinen has spent the most time between the pipes for the Black Bear. Lahtinen holds a goals-allowed average of 2.73 and a save percentage of .911.Â
WE'VE BEEN HERE BEFORE
- This marks the fifth time that Boston College and Maine are meeting in the Hockey East Tournament quarterfinals at Kelley Rink.Â
- BC is 3-1 versus Maine in the Hockey East Tournament.
- The last time the two sides met in the Quarterfinals was in 2022, with Maine taking a 2-1 victory over the Eagles.Â
