Samantha Smith Leads the Way for BC at Day 4 of ACC Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Boston College Swimming & Diving completed day four of the 2025 ACC Championships on Friday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

Boston College swam in six swimming event prelims during the morning session, as well as one "C" Finals race on Friday evening.

Samantha Smith led the way for the Eagles on day four of the championship meet, earning the school record during the Women's 200 yd Butterfly prelims with her time of 1:58.55. Smith earned a spot in the "C" finals on Friday evening, eventually placing 24th overall with a time of 1:59.42.

Jack Doyle and Bryce Henkel earned the best performances on the Men's side, as both swimmers finished back to back in the Men's 200 yd Butterfly. Doyle placed 35th overall with a time of 1:46.08, while Henkel touched the wall at 1:46.10 for 36th place.

Liza Murtagh competed in the Women's 100 yd Breaststroke prelims, and placed 32nd overall with a time of 1:05.39, while Aiden Bucaria was the top finisher for the Eagles in the Men's 100 yd Breaststroke prelims as he finished 41st with a time of 55.05.

Up Next: Boston College Swimming & Diving will head into the final day of the ACC Swimming & Diving Championships. Prelims will begin at 9:30 a.m. and finals will start at 5:30 p.m., while fans can stream the meet on ACCNX.
