Swimming & Diving Wraps ACC Championships on Saturday

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Boston College Swimming & Diving wrapped up the 2025 ACC Championships on Saturday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.Â
The Eagles finished 13th on the Men's side with 123 points, while California took home the ACC team title. BC finished 15th on the Women's side with 103 points, as Virginia won the ACC Championship.Â
Boston College swam in six swimming event prelims, as well as two time trials throughout the final day of the championship meet on Saturday.Â
Senior Jack Doyle earned his second school record of the weekend during the time trials of the 100 yd Breastroke. Doyle earned a time of 53.77 to take over the school record, along with his school record for the 200 IM that he accomplished on Wednesday.Â
Samantha Smith and Julienne Saliou finished 41st and 45th overall respectively in the Women's 200 yd Backstroke prelims. Smith finished with a time of 2:00.04, while Saliou touched the wall at 2:03.30.
Aiden Bucaria placed 40th overall in the Men's 200 yd Breaststroke as he raced to a time of 2:00.47. Kenneth Thien finished just behind him in 42nd with a time of 2:00.93.Â
Liza Murtagh was the lone Eagle to race in the Women's 200 yd Breaststroke prelims. The Senior finished 41st overall, as she earned a time of 2:19.06. Abel Black raced to a time of 1:49.73 in the Men's 200 yd Backstroke prelims to finish 47th overall.
Up next: The Eagles will look to earn spots at the 2025 NCAA Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Championships in Federal Way, Wash. The Women's Championships will be held March 19-22, while the Men's Championships will be on March 26-29.
