Women's Basketball Suffers Loss to Quinnipiac

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College women's basketball fell to Quinnipiac, 76-49, on Wednesday afternoon in Conte Forum.
The Eagles fall to 4-7 on the season, while the Bobcats improve to 4-3.
Amirah Anderson led Boston College with 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting with three rebounds. Kayla Rolph pulled down a team-best eight rebounds, while Kaia Henderson dished out four assists with eight points.
BC held an early 4-0 lead after an Ava McGee layup, while forcing Quinnipiac to miss its first four shots of the game. However, an 8-of-9 stretch over the next six minutes gave the Bobcats a 13-point lead. A 3-pointer by Jocelyne Grier followed by a Henderson jumper sliced the gap to eight, 19-11, going into the second.
The Eagles tried to build momentum in the second quarter after a Lily Carmody trifecta cut the deficit to six early in the period, but Quinnipiac fended off BC, shooting 46 per cent in the second quarter to take a 14-point advantage into the half.
Quinnipiac's lead in the second half stayed in double digits, leading to the win. The Bobcats shot 50 percent from the field and made 10 3-pointers.
Boston College begins ACC play on Sunday when it hosts Virginia at 7 p.m.
