
Eagles' Hutchins Accepts East-West Shrine Bowl Invitation

At least one Eagle has played in the contest since 2018
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Redshirt senior defensive end Quintayvious Hutchins has accepted an invitation to play in the 2026 East-West Shrine Bowl, the organization confirmed Monday.Â
Ahead of the 2025 season, Hutchins was named a team captain for the first time in his career. He played in 10 games with nine starts at defensive end for the Eagles this season, totaling 35 tackles, seven quarterback hits and two sacks.Â
Last season, Hutchins played in all 13 of Boston College's games, making seven starts at defensive end. He finished with 31 tackles, eight quarterback hits, three-and-a-half sacks, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble.Â
Hutchins spent his entire five-year career at Boston College, appearing in 40 career games with 16 starts at defensive end.Â
Six Boston College student-athletes in the last two seasons have garnered recognition from the nation's longest-running college all-star football game. Earlier this season, offensive linemen Jude Bowry and Logan Taylor also received invitations to the East-West Shrine Bowl. Offensive lineman Jack Conley, defensive lineman Cam Horsley and offensive lineman Drew Kendall participated in last year's contest. In recent history, the Eagles have sent at least one student-athlete representative to the East-West Shrine Bowl since 2018.Â
The East-West Shrine Bowl is a best-in-class all-star event that will take place at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco,TX on January 27, 2026. Players will be coached by NFL coaches in an NFL facility, and will have access to NFL-level resources, player-friendly schedules, and opportunities at the highest level.Â
