
Eagles Earn Split with Fordham

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving faced Fordham on Friday afternoon at Margot Connell Rec Center. The Eagles earned a split with the Rams as the men won 199.5-98.5 while the women fell 143-157.
BC swept the relays, winning both the 200 medley relay and 400 free. The Eagles recorded 11 individual first-place finishes, with four earning multiple wins.
Lucas Bailey was the first to hit the wall in both the 200 free and 100 fly in 1:41.47 and 49.39. Evan Tack won every event he competed in, including both the 100 backstroke and 200 IM, with times of 50.04 and 1:53.22. Tack was also part of the winning 200 medley relay team. Sirui Wang was the third Eagle to win multiple races as he tied for first in the 100 breaststroke before being the first to the wall in the 200 breaststroke. Elizabeth Oliphant was the final BC swimmer to earn multiple victories, as she won both the 50 and 100 freestyle events.
Courtney Watts, Allie Donkar, Augustas Lapys, Matt Lang, Palmer Bice, Julienne Saliou, and Luke Amerson were the other Eagles to win their races.
Overall, 32 events were contested, and BC was able to sweep the relays, as well as the 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, 50 free, 100 free, and 200 backstroke.
