Eagles Put Together Strong Beanpot Performances

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Boston College Fencing team opened its regular season at the 2025 Beanpot on Wednesday night inside the Malkin Athletic Center at Harvard.
The Eagles competed against Brandeis, MIT, and Harvard in the annual event.
On the men's side, Boston College finished the night with a 2-1 overall record, defeating Brandeis 16-11 in the opening round and MIT 18-9 in round two. The Eagles fell to Harvard 13-14 in the final round.
Men's epee and saber led the way as each went 2-1, while going 1-2 in foil.
On the women's side, the Eagles completed the night with a 2-1 overall record. Boston College defeated Brandeis 18-9 in round one and MIT 17-10 in the second round, while falling to Harvard 18-9 in the third and final round.
The Eagles went 2-1 in both the saber and foil while going 1-2 in the epee. BC swept all three weapons against Brandeis.
