
Northeastern on Deck for Eagles This Weekend

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College (3-6, 0-3 ACC) kicks off the October stretch at Northeastern (4-4) for a mid-season non conference game on Sunday at 12 p.m. on Dedham Field.
PACKED THE HOUSE
- The Eagles packed Newton with 1,475 fans last Sunday afternoon against No. 2 North Carolina, the largest crowd since 2019 in the ACC Championship.
SHOOTING OUR SHOT
- In Boston College's six losses, the Eagles have out shot all but one of their opponents 65-45 while only scoring three goals over the six games.
- Melea Weber is leading the team in goal scoring with three goals in her first year in the maroon and gold to total six points so far this season.
- Two freshmen Caroline Chisholm and Kate Bock have recorded their first collegiate goals in the first nine games.
- Chisholm and Madelieve Drion follow Weber in points (5) with two goals and one assist each.
DPC UNIT
- The Defensive Penalty Corner unit has held strong for the Eagles averaging 5.4 DPC a game.
- BC has faced 49 DPCs while only allowing three goals off corners.
- Laila Rosenquest and Martina Giacchino are each averaging second in the ACC in defensive saves (.11 per game) after the UNC game.
A LOOK AT NORTHEASTERN
- This will be the 39th meeting between the Eagles and Huskies.
- The Eagles have beaten Northeastern in the last 10 meetings.
- Last season, BC defeated the Huskies 3-1 in the first game of the season. Drion and Giacchino each assisted former teammates in the game. Charlotte Kramer posted three saves for the Eagles.
- Northeastern is in the Coastal Athletic Association.
- The Huskies are coming off a 1-2 loss against conference foe Towson.
