
Women’s Soccer Falls to Clemson in Home Finale

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's soccer team closed out its home slate on Thursday afternoon, falling 1–0 to Clemson in the final match of the season at the Newton Campus Soccer Complex.
Clemson (7-4-5, 4-3-2 ACC) struck in the ninth minute, as Juju Harris converted a penalty kick for what proved to be the game-winner. Boston College (5-7-5, 1-6-2 ACC) pressed for an equalizer, outshooting the Tigers 12–4 and earning an 8–1 advantage in corner kicks, but was unable to find the back of the net
Goalkeeper Olivia Shippee made two saves for the Eagles, while midfielders Ashley Roberts and Sophia Lowenberg each tallied two shots on goal to pace the offense. In total, seven of BC's 12 attempts were on frame, forcing the Clemson goalkeepers to combine for seven saves.
The Eagles held a narrow edge in possession and put together several second-half chances, including four shots in the final 10 minutes, but Clemson's defense held firm.
Boston College will return to action on Friday, Oct. 30, for the final regular-season game, traveling to face Virginia with a kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.
