Eagles Compete at ITA New England Regional Championships

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's tennis team participated in the ITA New England Regional Championships hosted by Harvard this past weekend.

Duos of Seren Agar and Alexandra Torre, and Tola Glowacka and Leyden Games led the way for the Eagles, both competing in the quarterfinals of doubles competition.

Agar and Torre opened play defeating Merrimack competitors 8-2 in the round of 64. Moving to the round of 32, Agar and Torre defeated University of New Haven athletes 8-5 to move to the next round. The Eagle duo took down Quinnipiac 8-6 in the round of 16, qualifying for Quarterfinals. Agar and Torre took down Brown competitors, 8-7 (7-4). The duo had a strong run but fell to Syracuse duo, Knezkova and Sysoeva 7-5, 6-4, concluding play.

Glowacka and Games opened play with a victory over Harvard competitors, 8-5. Moving on, the Eagle duo recorded a quick 8-3 victory over Quinnipiac duo. The duo then took on Cornell competitors, defeating the pair 8-3, they qualified for Quarterfinals. The duo fell in the Quarterfinals to Yale duo Friedman and Ogilvy 8-2.
