Eagles Fall 5-2 to Brown Bears
WEYMOUTH, Mass. – The Eagles battled hard as they hosted Brown for their spring season debut Friday night, but ultimately fell 5-2 to the Bears.
Brown recorded victories in all three doubles matches to earn the point, recording 6-2, 6-2 and 5-3.
The Eagles ended the night with two points, both coming from singles matches that went into super tiebreakers. Andrew Ilie recorded the first singles victory of the night for the Eagles, finishing the No. 2 match in a super tiebreaker; 2-6, 6-3, 1-0. Mai Gao also entered into a super tiebreaker with Brown's Zander Bravo recording 6-7, 7-5, 1-0.
