The Eagles are set to face BU in a dual meet on Friday and Saturday
BOSTON, Mass. – The Boston College Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving team returns from semester break on Friday and Saturday with a dual meet against Boston University.Â
The Eagles and the Terriers will battle over the span of two days, with 3m diving taking place on Friday and 1m diving and the swimming events on Saturday. Boston University's FitRec Competition Pool will host the 3m diving competitions at 5 p.m. on Friday night, while 1m diving and the swimming competitions will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Margot Connell Recreation Center on the campus of BC.Â

Scouting Boston University
The Terriers compete in the Patriot League conference, and are led by head coach James Sica. Sica is in his second season leading BU's Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving programs.Â
The Men's team currently holds a 3-1 record on the season with wins over Bucknell, Holy Cross, and UMass. The Terrier Men finished second at the Terrier Invite back in late November, falling to Boston College. The Men's team consists of 31 athletes, including nine seniors.Â
The Women's team has a 2-2 record so far on the season, earning victories over Holy Cross and UMass. The Women's team finished second overall at the Terrier Invite, falling to Northeastern. The Terrier Women's team has a total of 29 athletes and a senior class of 13.Â
Last Time Out
The Eagles have not competed in a collegiate meet since the Terrier Invite, which took place Nov. 22-24 at the FitRec Competition Pool on the campus of BU.Â
The Eagles earned a victory on the Men's side, while the Women's team finished fourth overall. BC set five school records, earned 20 first place finishes, 38 personal best times, and seven Eagles qualified for the U.S. Open Championships.Â
U.S Open Championships
Seven Eagles represented Boston College at the 2024 U.S. Open Championships in Greensboro, N.C. over the span of Dec. 4-7.Â
Jack Doyle was the lone Eagle to medal in the U.S. Open Championships meet, earning third place in the Men's 200 yard IM. Doyle also competed in the "A" Final of the Men's 400 IM, placing fifth overall.Â
The Eagles had a total of nine finals appearances over the span of the three days in Greensboro.Â
