Women's Hockey Falls to Huskies in Beanpot Semifinals

Taber and Roy score as the Eagles fall to Northeastern 4-2 on Tuesday night.
BOSTON, Mass. – Boston College Women's Hockey fell to the Northeastern Huskies 4-2 in the semifinal round of the Beanpot on Tuesday night at Matthews Arena.
Northeastern took a 1-0 lead halfway through the first frame when Morgan Jackson netted a goal from the slot at 10:04. The Huskies added two more goals within a four-minute span to jump to a 3-0 lead entering the first intermission.
Sammy Taber cut into the Huskies lead as she took a pass from Gaby Roy on a 2-on-1, and beat Jonsson with a backhanded shot with 18 seconds left in the period.
The teams traded chances throughout the second period, until the Huskies added to their lead with a short-handed goal from Lily Shannon with 4:34 left in the frame. The Huskies went into the final 20 minutes with a 4-1 advantage.
BC netted a late goal from Roy with the goalie pulled to make it 4-2 with 1:11 left to play.
