Taber and Roy score as the Eagles fall to Northeastern 4-2 on Tuesday night.

BOSTON, Mass. – Boston College Women's Hockey fell to the Northeastern Huskies 4-2 in the semifinal round of the Beanpot on Tuesday night at Matthews Arena.

Northeastern took a 1-0 lead halfway through the first frame when Morgan Jackson netted a goal from the slot at 10:04. The Huskies added two more goals within a four-minute span to jump to a 3-0 lead entering the first intermission.

Sammy Taber cut into the Huskies lead as she took a pass from Gaby Roy on a 2-on-1, and beat Jonsson with a backhanded shot with 18 seconds left in the period.

The teams traded chances throughout the second period, until the Huskies added to their lead with a short-handed goal from Lily Shannon with 4:34 left in the frame. The Huskies went into the final 20 minutes with a 4-1 advantage.

BC netted a late goal from Roy with the goalie pulled to make it 4-2 with 1:11 left to play.

The Eagles had a 39-31 advantage in shots on goal.
Sammy Taber scored her 10th goal of the year, while also adding an assist.
Taber now leads the team with 25 points on the year.
Gaby Roy netted her seventh of the season, in addition to tallying her eighth assist of the year.
Abby Newhook earned her 13th assist of the year on Taber's goal.
Grace Campbell finished the night with 23 saves.
Alanna Devlin won a team-high 10 faceoffs on the night.
Olivia Maffeo led the Eagles in shots with eight, while Taber attempted seven.
