» Boston College football plays its first home game under head coach Bill O’Brien, the 37th coach in program history, Saturday, September 7 at 3:30 p.m. vs. Duquesne at Alumni Stadium.
» The game will be streamed on ACCNX and ESPN+. Bill Spaulding (play-by-play) and Craig Haubert (analyst) are on the call.
» Coverage on the Boston College Sports Network begins 30 minutes prior to kickoff on WEEI 93.7 FM. Jon Meterparel (play-by-play) is joined on the call by former BC linebacker Pete Cronan in the booth and quarterback Scott Mutryn on the sideline.
» BC is coming off a 28-13 win at No. 10 Florida State; the biggest road win against a top-10 opponent in program history.
» O’Brien was honored by the Dodd Trophy as its Coach of the Week recipient following the Eagles’ week-one win at FSU.
» Thomas Castellanos broke the Eagles’ all-time rushing record by a quarterback last week with 73 yards at FSU to push his career total to 1,186 in 14 career games. He threw two touchdowns and ran for one, while being named to the Davey O’Brien Award Great Eight for week one.
» Treshaun Ward was named the ACC Running Back of the Week following a 138-yard all-purpose performance with 77 on the ground and 61 through the air, including a touchdown.
» Boston College and Duquesne face off for the first time on the gridiron.
» BC last faced an opponent from the Northeast Conference in 2016 when it defeated Wagner, 42-10, in week four.
