Eagles remain six shots off the lead; Brian Xu cards second round 69 (-3)
HAMPDEN, Mass. -- Brian Xu fired a 3-under 69 during Monday's second round, moving into a tie for 10th place at the UConn Invitational at GreatHorse. The graduate student posted four birdies and 13 pars on the day.
Boston College remains six shots off the lead through 36 holes of play, with a team total of 584 (293-291). BC was 3-over on Monday and 5-over during Sunday's opening day of play.
Markus Lam and Christian Emmerich are tied for 22nd (148, +4), while Ben Hong and Jack Pogorelc (149, +5) are tied for 28th.
As a team, BC leads the field in par 3 scoring (3.08 avg; +3 overall) and is second in par 5 scoring (4.95 avg; -2). The Eagles have 119 pars and 23 birdies.
BC returns to action for the third and final round at the UConn Invitational at GreatHorse on Tuesday, Oct. 1.
