Lowenberg Scores in Setback Against Umass

BC suffers the first setback of the 2024 season.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College women's soccer fell to UMass on Sunday afternoon, 2-1, in the first loss of the 2024 campaign.
Boston College is 5-1-0, while UMass improved to 2-1-1 on the season.
Both teams went into the break scoreless with the score tied, 0-0. The Minutewomen scored two straight goals to take a commanding lead in the second half.
Sophia Lowenberg scored her first goal of the season in the 84th minute to cut the deficit in half.
Douglas and Lowenberg led the offense in shot attempts, while eight players attempted a shot.
The Eagles return to action next Thursday on the road at 6 p.m. against Cornell.
