CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College football held preseason practice No. 12 inside Fish Field House on Friday morning. ACC Network cameras were rolling throughout practice for the ACC Football Road Trip, which airs tonight at 6 p.m. on ACC Network.

Offensive Highlights: The offense started off hot, with quarterback Thomas Castellanos completing his first three throws. In the red zone, Castellanos found tight end Jerimiah Franklin in the. Jacobe Robinson also found the back of the end zone twice, connecting with wide receivers Dino Tomlin and Montrell Wade. The team portion of practice started with Castellanos going deep twice, finding wide receiver Reed Harris in the back of the endzone for a contested catch in tight coverage, and throwing across the field to wide receiver Jayden McGowan for a big gain. The run game gained momentum, with running backs Treshaun Ward and Jordan McDonald finding holes in the line for nice gains. During red zone work, Castellanos threw his first touchdown pass of the session to tight end Kamari Morales.

Defensive Highlights: During the 7-on-7 period, defensive backs KP Price and Carter Davis each recorded PBUs at the goal line, while freshman defensive back Charlie Comella broke up a pass in the middle of the field. The defensive line proved to be nearly impenetrable at the beginning of the team period, stopping the run game at the line of scrimmage multiple times during the first series. Defensive end Neto Okpala closed a gap on a QB scramble and interior lineman Sedarius McConnell was credited with a sack. Linebacker Kam Arnold made two plays against the run, recording a TFL and a takeaway. The defense finished practice strong, recording three sacks and ended practice with a diving interception in the end zone from cornerback Ryan Turner.
