Nick Wang Homers Again, Georgetown Holds off Eagles

Eagles will conclude regular season with three-game set at Clemson starting Thursday
BRIGHTON, Mass. — Boston College Baseball (22-28, 8-19) fell 4-3 to the Georgetown Hoyas (32-18, 11-6) in the Eagles' final home game of the regular season on Tuesday night.
Nick Wang (Newton, Mass.) opened the scoring in the bottom of the first, bringing home Sam McNulty (Cambridge, Mass.), who opened the frame with a leadoff double to the left-center gap.
Kyle Kipp (Stamford, Ct.) made his first start of the season for the Eagles and turned in a dominant five innings, striking out five with five scattered hits, one walk, and just one run.
The Eagles went up 2-0 in the fourth, courtesy of a solo shot from Nick Wang, his eleventh blast of the season and second in as many games.
The Hoyas responded with four runs over the next three innings to take a 4-2 lead in the seventh. Parker Landwehr (Baltimore, Md.) got one back with an RBI single in the seventh, bringing the score to 4-3, where the score would hold. Charlie Coon took the loss (0-1) for Boston College, with the Hoyas' Marcello Mastroianni earning the win (6-1) and Nick Davis picking up the save (7).
