CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College women's basketball has signed Charleston Southern transfer Kennedi Jackson for the 2024-25 campaign.
Jackson spent two successful seasons at Charleston Southern, starting in 56 of 59 appearances. She averaged 11.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and shot 42.9 percent from the floor. Â
This past season, she improved her scoring by 5.4 points per game from her first season, pouring in a career and team-high 14.3 points on 46.7 percent shooting, 5.4 rebounds, a personal-best 35 assists, and shot 75 percent from the free throw line.Â
Jackson scored in double figures in 24 games, including eight 20-point outings with a pair of double-doubles. She was first in the Big South in field goal percentage, second in blocked shots, fifth in scoring and 10th in rebounds per game. She was one of three players in the conference to post multiple games of at least 20 points and 10 rebounds. She scored in double figures in 15 of the last 16 games, including a stretch of nine straight where she turned in 17.7 points, shot 49.5 percent and pulled down 4.9 rebounds.Â
In her first year with CSU, Jackson averaged 8.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, scoring at least 10 points in 14 games. She was second on the team in scoring and her 25 blocks were first on the team.
Jackson spent two years at Oklahoma State, redshirting in 2019-20. She played in four contests in 2020-21.
The incoming Eagle was a three-time New Orleans Advocate All-Metro selection in high school at Ursuline Academy in New Orleans, and was a Class 3 all-state selection as a senior. She helped Ursuline capture two state titles during her prep career and was an honorable mention all-state selection. Jackson was ranked 18th at her position by ESPN HoopGurlz.Â
