Men's Tennis Swept by No. 2 Virginia

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Boston College (5-13, 0-10 ACC) struggled to find its rhythm against a top-tier opponent in No. 2 Virginia (18-4, 10-0 ACC) on Sunday, dropping a 7-0 decision on the road.
The Eagles surrendered the doubles point after falling short in the first two matches 6-0 and 6-2 respectively. The doubles team of Will Kasten and Jake Vassel entered a tiebreaker in the No. 1 doubles match, but were unable to claim victory in a 7-6 (7-3) decision.
UVA carried its momentum into singles competition, taking all six singles matches in straight sets. Juan Jose Bianchi was able to take two games in each set against #6 Chris Rodesch, falling short 6-2, 6-2. Caleb Saltz and Vassel also took a game against #52 Schulenburg and #50 Dylan Dietrich respectively.
