Men's Tennis Swept by Notre Dame

WEYMOUTH, Mass. – The Eagles (5-14, 0-11 ACC) dropped an ACC matchup to Notre Dame (13-13, 4-8 ACC), falling 7-0 on Friday.

The Eagles would drop the first two doubles matches 6-0 and 6-0, leading to the Fighting Irish securing the doubles point over the Eagles. Notre Dame would win the final doubles match 6-3 to sweep the round.

Yu Zhang of Notre Dame defeated Matt Campbell in the first singles match in straight sets 6-2, 6-2. The Fighting Irish would then go on to win four straight singles matches in straight sets to take a 6-0 lead over Boston College. Mai Gao fought back against Nil Giraldez of Notre Dame in the second set to force a third set. Gao would end up falling to Giraldez 6-1, 3-6, 1-0.

The Eagles will wrap up regular season play on Sunday, Apr. 14 against Louisville, as well as honor their seniors for their time on the heights.
