Cynthia Zhang sits in a tie for 17th place after an opening round 71
WILMINGTON, N.C. -- Boston College sits in 11th place after round one of the 2024 ACC Championship, held at Porters Neck Country Club.  The Eagles compiled a team score of 297 (+9).  A total of nine strokes separate seventh through 11th place and four shots separate eighth and 11th.
Cynthia Zhang fired a 1-under 71 during today's opening day of play, putting her in a tie for 17th place. Â Angel Lin is tied for 36th, with an opening round 74, while Stephany Kim is a shot behind (75) in a tie for 42nd. Â Canice Screene (t51st, 77) and Emily Böhrer (t54th, 78) rounded out the BC golfers.
Zhang and Lin each carded four birdies on the day - third-most among all golfers, while Kim ranks second in the field in pars, with 15.
The Eagles return to action tomorrow for second round action at the 2024 ACC Championship.
