
Women's Tennis Falls Just Short to Virginia Tech 4-3

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Eagles (6-9, 1-7 ACC) dropped the first match of their weekend trip to Virginia, falling short to Virginia Tech (7-7, 2-4 ACC) in a 4-3 affair.
Natalie Eordekian and Tola Glowacka notched a 6-4 victory in the No. 3 doubles match for BC, however the Eagles surrendered the No. 1 and No. 2 matches to allow the Hokies to take the first point of the match.
After dropping the No. 6 and No. 2 singles matches to go down 3-0, Glowacka continued her success from doubles action with a 6-1, 6-2 victory in the No. 4 slot.Â
Virginia Tech clinched the match after claiming the No. 3 singles match. However, the Eagles answered with a 1-6, 6-1, 6-1 win from Marice Aguiar and a 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-8) victory by Stephanie Sanchez to close the gap in the final moments.
