
Eagles Unable to Contain No. 5 Virginia

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Eagles (6-10, 1-6 ACC) wrapped up their weekend road trip facing off against No. 5 Virginia (15-2, 7-0 ACC), falling 6-1 on Sunday.
Boston College put together a valiant effort against two, Top-30 doubles teams, dropping a 6-3 decision to the No. 14 ranked team. Tola Glowacka and Natalie Eordekian evened the score in a 7-5 victory at the No. 3 doubles slot, but Virginia's No. 27 ranked pair clinched the point after answering with a 7-5 nailbiter.
Seren Agar led the charge for BC in singles competition, scoring for the Eagles with a 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) victory in the No. 6 singles match. Natalie Eordekian took the first set against No. 60 Sara Ziodato, but fell just short in a third set 4-6, 6-1, 6-1. Virginia would take the remaining four singles matches in straight sets to close out the match.
UP NEXT
The Eagles take on another Top-20 opponent on Friday, traveling to Miami Gardens, Fla. to face off against No. 19 Miami at Hard Rock Stadium.
