Boston College falls to Miami 5-2 on Friday in Miami Gardens
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Eagles (6-11, 1-9 ACC) dropped the first match of the weekend trip to No. 21 University of Miami (7-4, 5-2 ACC), falling 5-2 on Friday.
Miami struck first in the first doubles match, earning a 6-1 victory over the Eagles. Boston College would answer back with Seren Agar and Nada Dimovska cruising to a 6-2 victory. Miami would take the doubles point after winning the third doubles match 6-3.
The Hurricanes carried their momentum into the singles matches, taking the first two matches in straight sets 6-4, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-1. Muskan Mahajan would answer back for the Eagles, defeating Balzert of Miami in two sets 6-4, 6-3.
Miami would win the next doubles match in straight sets 6-3, 6-4, followed by another victory defeating the Eagles 6-2, 7-6 (7-5). Seren Agar wrapped up singles with a 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-6) victory.
