Eagles Outlasted by Huskies 10-6

Boston College will host Virginia Tech in ACC Home Opener on Friday at 3 p.m.
The Eagles and Huskies played three scoreless innings to open the contest, headlined by a strong start from Evan Moore (Rocky Hill, Ct.). Making his first start of the year, Moore struck out four over three shutout frames of work, walking two and allowing just three hits.
Northeastern struck first in the top of the fourth, going up 3-0. The Eagles responded in their half, taking a 4-3 lead on an RBI single from Cam Caraher (Plymouth, Mass.), followed by a three-RBI double from Parker Landwehr (Baltimore, Md.) both with the bases loaded.
The sides traded runs in the fifth, with Boston College regaining the lead on a solo home run from Kyle Wolff (Andover, Mass.), his fourth of the season.
Northeastern rallied over the final four innings, plating four in the sixth, and one more in the eighth and ninth to extend their lead to 10-5. With one out in the bottom of the ninth, Parker Landwehr brought one back with a solo home run to center field, his second of the season to make it 10-6, where the rally ended.
Jordan Fisse (Ridgewood, N.J.) was charged with the loss for BC, his first of the season (2-1). Charlie Walker earned the win for Northeastern with Aiven Cabral picking up a four-inning save.
Boston College will host its first ACC weekend of the season against No. 19 Virginia Tech, with the ACC Home Opener scheduled for Friday at 3:00 p.m. at Harrington Athletics Village.
