
Three Eagles Leave the Yard, BC Ties Series with 16-10 Victory

BC reaches 16-run mark for the fourth time this week to force rubber match
After falling 12-5 in game one, the Eagles bats responded with a 16-run game two. Every BC batter recorded a hit in Boston College's fourth game of at least 16 runs this week.
In game two, BC broke the tie in the opening frame, with an RBI single from Vince Cimini (Scranton, Pa.) and an RBI double from Adam Magpoc (Torrance, Ca.). Pitt responded with two of their own in the bottom half, but Nick Wang put the Eagles up for good with an RBI double in the second.
Cimini blasted his third home run of the year in the third inning, before the Eagles popped for eight runs in the fourth on nine hits, sending 12 batters to the plate during the rally:

Nick Wang hit his second homer in as many days, extending his team-leading HR tally to nine. Wang doubled, homered, and drove in three to continue his hot week.
Adam Magpoc, earning the start in center field, joined the home run leaderboard with his first of the season in the fourth inning, a two-run shot deep to right field from the left side of the plate. Magpoc finished 2-for-3 with a double, home run, and three RBI.
Vince Cimini led the Eagles at the plate on Saturday, going 4-for-5 with a home run, four RBI, and four runs scored. Patrick Roche took advantage of his leadoff duties, going 3-for-5, a homer shy of the cycle, with a double, triple, and two RBI.
The Panthers clawed back for seven runs, cutting it to 15-10 in the eighth. Chris Markovich (Lebanon, N.J.) scored on a sacrifice fly from Cam Caraher (Plymouth, Mass.) in the top of the ninth, and Jordan Fisse (Ridgewood, N.J.) closed it for BC with 1.2 scoreless innings of relief.
A.J. Colarusso (Leominster, Mass.) got the start for the Eagles and earned the win (2-1). Jack Sokol (2-1) was handed the loss for Pitt.
Pitt took game one, scoring eight over the final four innings to pull away. Nick Wang (Newton, Mass.) continued his strong week with a 3-for-5 day at the plate with a home run (8), double, and four RBI. Michael Farinelli (New York, N.Y.) took the loss (0-2) for BC.
Boston College and Pitt will play the rubber match on Sunday at 1 p.m.
