Eagles Welcome Stonehill in Home Opener

Boston College faces Stonehill for the first time in program history
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.-- Boston College softball hosts Stonehill for the Eagles season opener at the Harrington Athletics Village, on March 12th.Â
This will be the first meeting of the two teams in program history. The Skyhawks are 3-7 on the season.Â
Last week the Eagles faced George Washington University and the University of Maryland. Defeating GW 4-1, and splitting the day with the Terrapins going 3-1, and 2-3 on a double header Friday. Junior pitcher Abby Dunning led the Eagles from behind the plate with an ERA of .78. Dunning dished out 12 strikeouts on nine innings pitched.Â
The Eagles continue home play this weekend hosting the Eagle Round Robin. BC will face Holy Cross, Iona, and Quinnipiac.Â
