Kennedy Named to U.S. U18 Women's National Team Staff

Associate head coach Courtney Kennedy to serve as an assistant coach for the 2025 U.S. U-18 Women’s Ice Hockey Team
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Boston College women's hockey associate head coach Courtney Kennedy was officially announced as an assistant coach on head coach Liz Keady Norton's staff for the 2025 U.S. Under-18 Women's National Team.
The 2025 IIHF Under-18 Women's World Championship will take place Jan. 5-12, 2025, in Vantaa, Finland.
Kennedy returns to international hockey after serving as an assistant coach for the 2022 U.S. Olympic Women's Ice Hockey Team that captured silver in Beijing.
The Woburn, Mass. native has helped lead the U.S. to four goal medals at the IIHF U18 Women's World Championship as an assistant coach, including in 2013, 2014, 2017 and 2018. She was also an assistant coach for the silver medal-winning U.S. Women's National Team at the 2021 IIHF Women's World Championship.
As a player, Kennedy helped Team USA to a silver medal at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games and bronze at the 2006 Games and was also a member of the gold medal-winning U.S. entry at the 2005 IIHF Women's World Championship, the first-ever U.S. team to claim the top spot on the podium in the event.
Kennedy has been on the BC bench since the 2007-08 season. In that time, BC has been to 11 NCAA Tournaments and six NCAA Frozen Fours and won five Hockey East regular-season titles, three Hockey East Tournament championships, and six Beanpot crowns.
