Eagles Compete at ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships

Steven Jackson earns All-ACC honors for Men's Mile
BOSTON, Mass. – The Boston College Men's Track and Field team placed 15th overall at the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships at the TRACK at new balance, which took place Feb. 22-24.Â
The Eagles were joined by some of the top teams in the conference, including No. 13 ranked North Carolina, No. 15 ranked Florida State, and No. 21 ranked Louisville.Â
Boston College finished 15th overall, earning six points. North Carolina won the Men's team title with 93 points, while Florida State (84) and Virginia Tech (82) rounded out the top three. Â
Thursday
The Eagles started the day with the Men's 5000m, with Edward Sullivan placing 18th overall with a time of 14:09.92. Andrew Healey came in at 37th overall, finishing with a time of 14:32.59. Colin Kravitz competed in the Men's 200m, placing 19th overall with a time of 21.98.
Boston College's Distance Medley Relay team of Ryan Beegle, Stephen Colleran, Patrick Mulryan, and Spencer Pett crossed the finish line in eighth place. The group of four finished with a time of 9:49.52.
FridayÂ
Boston College started off the second day of the championship meet with the Men's Mile. Steven Jackson (4:06.63) won his heat and placed 12th overall, earning him an automatic qualifying bid to the Men's Mile Final on Saturday.Â
Max McQuide finished 18th overall in the Men's 400m, crossing the finish line with a time of 48.05.
Boston College had three Eagles compete in the Men's 800m, with all three finishing in the top-25. Cruz Brown (1:51.41) placed 18th overall, Owen Pett (1:51.56) placed 20th, and Ryan Beegle (1:52.55) finished at 25th.Â
Saturday
Steven Jackson was the lone competitor in the Men's Mile Final for the Eagles. Jackson finished fourth overall with a time of 3:58.78, which earned him All-ACC honors.Â
John Garvey competed in the Men's 3000m Final, crossing the finish line at 8:28.55 and finishing 44th overall.Â
