
No. 14 BC Falls to No. 13 Northeastern in Overtime

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The No. 14 Boston College women's hockey team battled till the last second against No. 13 Northeastern on Friday afternoon.
The Eagles and the Huskies were in a back-and-forth battle during the first period, leaving the first 20 minutes scoreless.
Entering the second period, both teams found a way to score. Northeastern scored the first goal of the game on a powerplay attempt. The Eagles respond shortly after their powerplay attempt. BC's goal was initially called off for high stick, but after a challenge, the goal counted, tying the score at one a piece to end the second period.
In the third period, Julia Pellerin found an opportunity on a miscue for Northeaster to sneak past the goalie and score to give the Eagles the lead. With under two minutes left, Northeastern tied the game up at two a piece, sending it to overtime.
In overtime, Northeastern came out on top, scoring early into the five-minute overtime period.
