Eagles return to New York to face Nebraska in program’s third Pinstripe Bowl.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College football team has accepted an invitation to play in the 2024 Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl. The Eagles, representing the ACC, take on the Big Ten's Nebraska on Saturday, Dec. 28 at Yankee Stadium in New York. The game will be broadcast nationally on ABC at Noon ET.
This year mark's BC's third appearance in the Pinstripe Bowl and first since 2017. The Eagles are bowl eligible for the eighth time in the last nine years after compiling a 7-5 regular season with a 4-4 mark in the ACC. Boston College became bowl eligible under first-year head coach Bill O'Brien with a 41-21 win over North Carolina on Nov. 23 and finished the regular season with a 34-23 win over Pittsburgh on Nov. 30.
"I am excited for our team to be heading to New York for the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl," stated O'Brien. "Boston College is well-represented in New York City and the tri-state area, so to have the opportunity to play in the Northeast, where so many of our fans and alumni call home, is an honor. We look forward to the challenge of competing against the storied Nebraska program."
Boston College is bowl eligible for the 32nd time in program history. All-time, the Eagles are 15-13 in bowl games with games having been cancelled in 2018 and 2021 and BC opting out of the 2020 bowl season.
