Brandeis Invitational On Tap for Fencing

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Boston College Men's and Women's Fencing teams are set to compete at the Brandeis Invitational, which will be held on the campus of Brandeis University on Sunday.Â

The Men's team earned a perfect 7-0 record over the two-day championship meet, while the Women's team compiled a 10-1 record. The Eagles won the Northeast Fencing Conference Championship on the Men's side, while also earning the combined Men's and Women's championship with their 17-1 total record.
Men's Highlights
Brandeis InvitationalÂ
The Brandeis Invitational will be held on Sunday, Dec. 8 at the Red Auerbach Arena on the campus of Brandeis University.Â
The meet is scheduled to begin with round 1 at 9:00 a.m., and there will be a total of eight rounds throughout the invitational.Â
BC will open the invitational with Drew, and will compete in six of eight rounds. The Eagles will have a bye in rounds 3,7, and 8.

- Ryan Ho earned his 100th career win at Boston College.
- With the victory on Sunday, Head Coach Brendan Doris-Pierce reached 200 wins at Boston College
- The Eagles compiled a perfect 7-0 record en route to the Northeast Fencing Conference Championship
- Men's Foil and Epee earned perfect 7-0 records, while Men's Sabre had a 6-1 record.
- Men's Epee had a 9-0 victory over Wheaton and MIT to help lead BC to the team victory over each opponent.
- Anisha Kundu and Artemis Christeas both earned their 100th career win at Boston College over the weekend.
- The Eagles earned a 10-1 record with 24-3 victories over Wellesley, Sacred Heart, and Vassar, while also beating Wheaton 25-2.
- Women's Foil had three 9-0 wins, which allowed for them to have a 10-1 record throughout the weekend.Â
- Women's Epee had a 9-2 record, and fought to two 9-0 victories.Â
- Women's Sabre compiled a 8-3 record, while earning four 9-0 victories.
- The Women's team finished in second place.
