CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 10 Boston College Women's Hockey team defeated Providence College 4-2 on Wednesday afternoon in the final home game of 2024.
The Eagles scored four unanswered goals in the final two periods to lift them over Providence.
Providence took the early lead one minute into the game. The Friars held onto this lead into the second period.
In the second frame, Providence doubled their lead before Abby Newhook got the Eagles on the board 16 minutes into the second period. Heading into the final frame the Eagles trail Providence 1-2.
Boston College scored three times in the final frame to secure the 4-2 victory over Providence. Julia Pellerin scored the game-tying goal one minute into the period, and Olivia Maffeo scored the game-winning goal during a four-vs.-four. Sammy Taber added an empty net goal in the game's final minute.
