Six Eagles Selected to U.S. National Junior Team

All six Eagles that were invited to camp were selected to the team
KINGSTON, Ontario – Six members of the Boston College men's hockey team were selected to the 2025 U.S. National Junior Team on Thursday ahead of the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship in Ottawa.

Forwards James Hagens, Ryan Leonard, Gabe Perreault and Teddy Stiga, and defensemen Drew Fortescue and Aram Minnetian earned spots on the final 25-man roster that will represent the United States from Dec. 26, 2024 - Jan. 5, 2025 in Ottawa, Ontario.

Perreault (7-16-23), Hagens (5-15-20) and Leonard (12-7-19) are the top three scorers for the Eagles through 16 games this season. Stiga has posted 11 points on four goals and seven assists, while Fortescue and Minnetian have played in all 16 games on the blue line, combining for a plus-17 rating.

Fortescue, Leonard, Minnetian and Perreault were members of the 2024 U.S. squad that won gold for the sixth time at the World Junior Championship, posting a 6-1-0-0 record. Leonard and Perreault both scored for the Americans in the Gold Medal Game, with Fortescue picking up one assist.

NHL Network is the exclusive home of the IIHF World Junior Championship in the United States and will air every Team USA game in addition to many others, including all quarterfinal, semifinal and medal games.

The U.S. begins the tournament on Dec. 26 against Germany at 2:30 p.m. ET. The Americans will also face Latvia, Finland, and Canada in preliminary round action before the quarterfinals start on Thursday, Jan. 2.
