Swimming & Diving Defeated By Fordham in Dual Meet

BC falls just short to Fordham on both the Men's and Women's side on Friday afternoon
BRONX, N.Y. – The Boston College Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving team fell to Fordham in a dual meet on Friday afternoon at the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center.Â
The Eagles and the Rams competed in 32 total events, with BC ultimately falling to Fordham 141-157 on the Men's side and 145-155 on the Women's side.Â
The Eagles earned 14 first place finishes throughout the evening, including two diving events.Â
Megan Kramer and Ben Huffman placed first overall in the Men's and Women's 1000 yard freestyle. Kramer touched the wall at 10:15.10, while Huffman finished with a time of 9:35.62. Kramer also finished first in the Women's 500 yard freestyle with a time of 4:58.62, while Huffman placed first in the Men's 500 yard freestyle with a time of 4:39.23.
Lauren Lee earned two individual first place finishes on the night for the Eagles. Lee finished first in the Women's 200 yard freestyle (1:54.30) and the Women's 50 yard freestyle (24.35)
Samantha Smith and Jack Doyle also both earned two first place finishes each during the meet on Friday. Smith placed first in the Women's 100 and 200 yard backstroke events, while Doyle earned the top finishes in the 200 yard freestyle and 200 yard IM.Â
Peter Nolan touched the wall at 50.56 in the Men's 100 yard butterfly to earn first place.Â
The Women's 400 yard relay team of Lauren Lee, Elizabeth Oliphant, Stefanie Burgess, and Madison Connor took home the top spot.Â
Anthony Rosenberger and Angus Williams both finished the night with a first place finish each. Rosenberger competed in the Men's 1 meter diving, while Williams competed in the Men's 3 meter diving.Â
