Eagles Set for Battle with Fordham

Swimming & Diving travel to the Bronx for dual meet against Fordham.
BRONX, N.Y. – The Boston College Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving team is set to face Fordham in a dual meet on Friday, Nov. 8 at 3 p.m. at Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center.Â
The meet is set to begin on Friday at 3 p.m. with the Eagles and the Crimson competing in both diving and swimming throughout the evening.Â

Scouting Fordham
Fordham is 1-1 on both the Men's and Women's sides to start the 2024-25 season.Â
The Men's team opened the season with a 156.5-83.5 over Manhattan, and then fell to NYU 114.5-183.5 in their most recent meet on Oct. 19th.Â
The Fordham's Women's team also defeated Manhattan and fell to NYU. The Rams earned a 186-62 victory over Manhattan, while losing to NYU 124-176
The Rams' Men's and Women's rosters feature 52 swimmers and eight divers in total. Â
Fordham is coached by Tom Wilkens, who is currently in his second year as the head coach of the Rams' Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving program.Â
Last Time Out
The Eagles last took the pool on Nov. 2 as they took on Harvard in a Women's only Swimming & Diving dual meet. Boston College fell to the Crimson 87-213 on Saturday afternoon at Blodgett Pool.Â
Samantha Smith gave the Eagles their first first-place finish on the day in the Women's 200 yard backstroke, finishing with a time of 2:00.19. Smith also earned two second-place finishes in the 100 and 200 yard butterfly events.Â
Megan Kramer finished first overall in the 500 yard freestyle, touching the wall with a time of 5:04.28. Kramer placed second in the Women's 1000 yard freestyle, finishing with a time of 10:21.33.
Jessica Tonole finished eighth overall in the one meter diving, while Allison McCabe placed ninth. Tonole placed seventh in the three meter diving, and McCabe finished in ninth place.Â
